Famous Medan Bloggers Generously Share Practical Tips In Blogging

It is an honour for me to be chosen as one of lucky workshop participants to attend such a knowledgeable workshop on  27 January 2019 at DILO working space in Medan.

Mollyta Mochtar and Aizendra Yoga who are famous bloggers in Medan kindly shared their knowledge and experience, for free, in writing good yet interesting content and managing a blog by using SEO.

Molly Mochtar, a travel blogger, openly told us her obstacles to keep persistence in writing good content. The first year of blogging was a struggling stage for her as only few readers came by to the blog. However, she did not feel that was the end of the world. She refused to give up and figured out to encounter this problem.

According to her, making up your mind about the content of your blog is important. If you want to start blogging, you have to know your passion or interest and focus on your choice until you brand yourself. Mollyta  also suggested us to find our own style in writing to our readers. Using the sense of telling a story to friends has been proved effective to touch your audience. To sum up, she motivated new bloggers to keep exploring and learning in order to stay focus and productively create good content.

Aizendra Yoga who is a filmmaking blogger and digital marketing consultant shared his thought about SEO- Search Engine Optimization.  He explained that bloggers expect people to read their written articles and the most important thing is to make viewers stay longer reading them. SEO has important role to make this happens because in fact, SEO is part of marketing. In this session, he was not only share the theory but also assist us to practise and experience the usage of SEO to improve our viewers on blog.

To sum up, I am glad that I could join this valuable workshop because I brought home piece of information that I need as a new blogger. Siska, my pairwork partner, indeed agreed that this workshop is useful for her. Many thanks to these humble bloggers and the committees for today's workshop.
